STS 180: Special Topics in Science and Technology Studies
Air-Craft: Atmosphere, Art, Apparatus

Air-Craft is an ongoing seminar format that explores atmospheric problems through a combination of traditional writing, curatorial exercises, and creative, craft-driven work, in and out of class. It seeks to develop a critical and generative understanding of life in air while also fostering research and ways of knowing beyond a traditional seminar format. By developing open-ended creative exercises that take us deep through texts and sometimes outside of the classroom, air shifts from a passive backdrop to something accessible, manipulable, and emergent in craft.
